Driving Plant-Based Marketing Efforts

The fact is that in the business world, plant-based marketing is as important as sustainable marketing. Moreover, plant-based marketing will always be relevant because today’s consumer is concerned with saving our planet, global warming, animal welfare, and of course, health and wellness.

There’s a direct correlation between people choosing to eat plant-based foods and how that one decision can save our planet. The evidence is compelling that changing to a plant-based diet reduces greenhouse gases, saves our land, contributes to the preservation of water, and let’s not forget, makes us healthier.

Plant-based marketing is an effective way to push health and wellness and create long-lasting change. For those of us who love animals, here is food for thought. Much of our staff either know someone or have themselves gone to an animal sanctuary. They all pretty much agree that it is the most peaceful, tranquil experience that they have had. We are talking about sanctuaries with farm animals such as cows, goats, chickens, even horses and ducks.

Animal agriculture is the biggest culprit that contributes to climate change. Here is how it goes: For animals to be slaughtered, we need to grow crops to feed the animals that we over-bred so they can be fed, then they will be slaughtered to feed people. Those animals emit very high levels of CO2 and methane gas. Then their excrement pollutes our atmosphere, which includes our waterways.

If we can drive efforts to market more plant-based products and it is done consistently by those who are in the position to influence and lead, this will contribute greatly to our future generations. Influencers can be at the top of the list for helping this cause because influencers can make important issues seem “cool” to the younger generation, making them care and listen before it is too late.

Plant-based marketing efforts are what will contribute to humanity’s health and wellness, the health of our planet and environment, and our mental health. According to the National Institutes of Health, “Interacting with animals has been shown to decrease levels of cortisol and lower blood pressure. Other studies have found that animals can reduce loneliness, increase feelings of social support and boost your mood.”

So rather than eating animals, spend time enjoying their company for a healthier world, happier animals, and humans.
